I'm not Route66 expert but I did little research and here are some words I found about it:
"As for now, (01.2010) there is still not a well working cr***d version for none of the OSs ..."
"... You may sync your device (with R66 already installed) with R66 server and download them (maps) in endless hours. But after that you have to pay for the guidance no matter Drive or Walk. Any route planning too. ..."
"... So, might be the experts ... able to find a workaround the "Go Online" option, appearing on the device after installation of the app. E.g. the required activation."

I know this is not much help but it shows picture about situation with Route66 program and maps.
My personal suggestion is to get some other navigation program with good map coverage for your region (iGo, Garmin, TomTom, ...) you could find in this section

    @drjmark6

No need for such big letters
As You are using device with symbian, I see no reason for problems with Garmin Mobile XT
Try to install Garmin Mobile XT for Symbian S60 v5.00.60 International Painless-Edition from this post
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
    and use this guide
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
and maps from here (best unlocked image)

Another waste of a thread (so far).
Why do people come on forums and post crap links that promise maps?
And why do people then come on who claim to have maps and are not willing to share.....and then have the cheek to ask for help from people who might want their map?
And they offer nothing in return.

    Hello everybody,

I have successfully installed Route66 (pack 2) to my N96. I made some changes to the files to be transferred to memory card, like adding/removing Voices etc, ColourSchemes. But the main files remained as they were.

But nevertheless, Route66 is working fine with Western Europe map . Okay, okay, the map is NOT the latest one, but the "8Q3". Anyhow, THAT map can be fitted to S60 and THAT map is working and is UNLOCKED. At least in my N96 .

I don't care if the map is "a little bit old".

If someone wants to install the same Western Europe -map, I enclose the some files here. You need [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] in order to download the archives. With [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], downloading is a bit similar process than downloading torrents, but slower. But it works.

The file "R66 Europe Maps.txt" contains some basic info about the maps (except the Eastern Europe one (R668.08Q3.EE))

The file "R668.08Q3.WE" is the one you WANT/NEED, it works fine with S60v3.

    - Extract the .dlc file to hard drive
    - Use [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] to download the archive
    - The password for the archive is R668.08Q3.WE. (When you have downloaded all the needed .rar -archive parts and you unrar the archive, the password is R668.08Q3.WE. My attachments itself are password free.).

The eastern europe map (R668.08Q3.EE) should work as well. I didn't download it, nor did I test it.

The other files are too big for symbian, but I added them anyway. Just in case that someone needs them.

    Regards,
    Team-O

Maybe you should not download them at all, because whatever link you use, they are always more or less not-so-according-to-any-law.

    But here you are anyway.
    Code:

PS. GOOGLE is a very powerfull tool, you know. Took only about 20 seconds to locate the link above.
