All handhelds from Garmin from eTrex to Montana do not support Cyclops. With Nuvi I do not know any problem but only nuLink!
Hello all, I need help in identifying which Garmin model can't use Cyclops alert. For example,
Model: 3597
Max icon size: 44x44?
Won't work: North America Cyclop alert
If there is enough interest, I will extract Cyclop alerts and build using Garmin alerts so it will work for those units. Remember to indicate the maximum icon size (if you know it)

Garmin, how much is 30 pieces of silver for Judas today? Were they worthy for crucifix of GPSPower?
So do you think it's worth while to have Cyclop alerts on eTrex-Montana (do people use handheld unit in car?)* Garmin alerts (aka: POILoader) works on those unit? If so, what icons size do those units support?
* I still owned one of the earlier Magellen handheld unit which I used in cars and plane :D
It is not common case but why not? These work fine with POILoader created POI and most of model have beeper. Usually 22 (24 with transparent border) pix is good for handhelders as for low-resolution Nuvis.
But Montana have especially got the same navigation engine like Nuvi even so a some trouble with routing is present in compare with truly automobile devices. And fact what Montana do not support Cyclops is a big lack from Garmin.
There is the one difference with Nuvi it are not speech prompts but Garmin navigation engine is perfect even without its.

My Kenwood DNX9980HD does not support Cyclops. The unlocked POI shows up under Proximity Alerts, but the GPS part of the unit crashes and reboots when you get near a redlight camera. I am interested in seeing a converted Cyclops gpi for North America that doesn't crash the Kenwood unit. Using SCDB for now...
Check again. They are attached.
