Hi all — resurrecting a Magellan Maestro 4040 with wiped NAND. Bootloader intact, blue screen header reads Venus3 UT R06.
What I've established so far:
- SD flash path works: FAT16 ≤2GB card, winceimg.bin + plaintext winceimg.cks (binSize : <bytes> / checksum: 0x...)
- Checksum algorithm on this unit is a plain 32-bit byte-sum (verified — images flash clean)
- Flashed CrossoverGPS 2.14 and RoadMate 2200 PLUTO_0 images from the archived cachefly CDN: both pass checksum and write, but neither boots (wrong board BSP — no USB enumeration, black screen). So I only need the genuine Maestro 4xxx OS image.
- The 4040 update was last distributed as Magellan_Maestro_4040_2_36 via magellangps registration; that CDN is dead and Wayback never caught it.
If anyone has a Maestro 4040/4050/4010 winceimg.bin (any version, any region — I can regenerate the .cks myself), I'd be extremely grateful. Happy to upload anywhere / trade dumps.
Bonus question: anyone with Venus3 eboot/BSP notes on which sibling image might boot on a 4040 (480x272 panel)?
