Who knows what map i need for Europe?

Is there no map for Europe i can download and install in my car?

Searching on the Internet i found the following.
The map and system is: NAVTEQ for MyGIG navigation
I also found this: The maps when released are likely to be locked to your VIN number.

It is not possible to download a map of Europe and install it?
The only way is to pay the car dealer for updating?

I hope you're have some answers for me because the dealer is very expensive .. haha
