Is this app like normal GPS devices, where you can download different maps? Or you have to down individual app for different countries?

I don't see any help on this app so I am a bit confused. From official website, it seems that it is locked to one country when you first use the app. Also it stated that it is powered by Garmin, does it take Garmin maps?

Any clarification would be appreciated.
