Is it possible to install the latest iGO application on a Mio LM7700 so that it actually works?

For your Mio LM7700 navigator, the absolute ceiling is exclusively iGO Primo for Windows CE. All modern versions of iGO (Nextgen, Luna, iGO Navigation) require Android or iOS, which your device does not and cannot run.
The only upside to this situation is that even the older Primo version will work perfectly, and the road maps, junctions, and speedcam databases for it are still updated to this day (current releases for 2026 run flawlessly on it).
So while you won't be able to update the app itself, you can definitely keep your navigation completely up to date.

It is "standard" WinCE 6.0 device, so yes.
The elementary rules apply

However, like any other *mio*, it uses special scripts to start the launcher and launch the software.
though you first need to
- insert a Shell unlocker. There are a few in this section (the easiest)
- insert custom launcher, very similar to the first solution
- or folder/files renaming method/replacing (No Visual Menu), a slightly more complicated variant, but completely stable. Direct manipulation without finding the necessary additions
It requires careful work (you can find on net complete instructions on what to tweak), as well as adjustments to the iGO `sys` file.
And iGO is not installed but is inserted![]()
