    autovelox Speedcam audio warning - non TTS

    By default iGO is set to an audio warning for speedcams works with TTS. Many languages do not support TTS, so I made it to work with recorded audio files on my languages and the other who do not have TTS.
    After a lot of time and a lot of misinformation, I came to a decision.

    I've tried many combinations but were not usable. Or the infinitely repeated BIPS warning sound or audio files. I wanted a solution where no BIPS ound and the human voice heard 2 or 3 times.

    INFORMATION
    Tutorial has been done by the original data.zip file and can be used with modified data.zip too.
    Which category of camera than can be seen and triggers an audible warning shall be determined by the variable_def.ui file.
    data.zip\ui_android\common\ui\variable_def.ui

    iGO SETTINGS
    iGO /Settings/Sound and Warnings/Alert Point Setings/Alert Types/
    Warning Type - Audio and Visual
    Audio Warning - When approaching
    *Average speed camera - When overspeed

    I recorded the audio files and the file name is in English. Audio WAV files copy to
    iGO\ui_android\audio\*.WAV files

    English, French, Serbian audio files
    iGO primo - copy ui_android folder to iGO

    In such a setting, boring bips sound is not active.
    warn_distances is visually appearance icons Speed camera = 700m
    approach_beep_distances is determine when will activate Speed camera.wav file = 250 m

    700 - 250 = 450 m - First audio warning

    excellent works. couple of questions:
    1. where did the 300 comes from in 300 - 200 = 100 m - Second audio warning. is unit always m and km/h even for US?
    2. is it possible to have more than 2 warnings?
    3. why id/type have new second values? (ex: speed=1 or 192) is 192 value used by .spc and 1 by .txt?

    If the iGO is set to a mile then it will be in 300-200=100 miles

    2.
    Of course it depends on the two numbers. warn_distances and approach_beep_distances

    An example for three times

    warn_distances="150:700,140:700,130:700,120:700,11 0:700,100:700,90:700,80:700,70:700,60:700,50:700,4 0:700,30:700,20:700,10:700"

    approach_beep_distances=200

    700-200=500 - first warning
    500-200=300 - second warning
    300-200=100 - third warning

    3.
    1 = 192
    In speedcamara.txt file put a number 1 or 192

    MXKM
    This instruction sets the iGo how to work the audio warning.

    100 miles? I hope not. You mean 100ft. LOL!

    I guess I should of quoted to make the question clearer. In your example in first post, you have
    500 - 200 = 300 m - First audio warning
    300 - 200 = 100 m - Second audio warning
    then I asked where does 300 comes from for the "Second audio warning"

    Then you answered
    300-200=100 - third warning

    So is it second or third warning? And where does 500 comes from
    500-200=300 - second warning

    If it depends only on warn_distances (which is 700) and approach_beep_distances (which is 200), where are you getting 500 and 300 for the following:
    700-200=500 - first warning
    500-200=300 - second warning
    300-200=100 - third warning

    And if 1=192 why have 192 when 1 can be used just fine. The value of 1 have been around for a long time (Amigo); but 192 is mentioned very recently, gotta be a reason why it was introduced.

    I think using a different value (700 instead of 500) caused confusion. A clearer answer would have been something like:
    the approach_beep_distances is subtracted from the value in warning_distances (based on speed) for each iteration of the warnings
    1st warning: 500-200=300
    then we use the 1st warning distant to compute the 2nd warning:
    300-200=100
    we do this until the warning distant is less than the approach_beep_distances.

    But I've seen the following example with distances (more than one), posted on other sites
    approach_beep_distances="1,25,30,50,100"
    which makes the computation like
    1st warning: 500-1=499
    2nd warning: 499-25=474
    3rd warning: 474-30=444
    4th warning: 444-50=394
    5th warning: 394-100=294
    6th warning: 294-100=194
    7th warning: 194-100=94
    So this would give us a non-linear control of alert distances, right?

    if you dont read. Writes you to change a number. It is example

    warn_distances="4:3,........"

    approach_beep_distances=1

    4-1=3 - first warning
    3-1=2 - second warning
    2-1=1 - third warning

    Excellent work Brown Dog,
    Is it possible to have male voices instead of the female for the wife's GPS?
    Thank you in advance.
