I assumed that trip_log exists in LUNA with Pongo [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

I checked in the above latest update and in the ux and ux_additionally folders in LUNA/PONGO, there is no button_trip_log UX as there is in PAL/PONGO.

So, it turns out that the "negation" of your rhetorical question is in place.
