Hi all skin experts,
First of all, I'm not using Pongo skin or anything, just the default. I added grid_menu_layout.zip into two different versions of iGo NexGen. Here is what I see
In iGo NextGen 9.19.1.484935, it looks normal, especially 3 buttons (icons) inside the bottom box.

In iGO NextGen Avic 9 18 28 624772, the icons in the bottom box appear too small. It's almost impossible to select any of them (especially while you're driving). By the way, I tried to look them up in *.ini, *.css, *.ui, but not sure what they are called. Is that Quick Bar?

Back to Grid menu, in iGo NextGen 9.19.1.484935, it looks good.
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
In iGO NextGen Avic 9 18 28 624772, however, the size of each button is too big. As you can see from the selected area in the picture, it's bigger than the border of the 'box'.

Can anyone shed some light on how to fix this? Again, the grid_menu_layout.zip is identical in both tests. There are no "skin" package from other places. Only the default ux folder is in each version of NextGen.

@wojpen
Thanks for the reply.
I solved these issues a while ago but couldn't figure out how to remove my post. (Is there such a function?)
1. The font size in settings is bigger.
2. The icons that appear at the bottom of screen is too small.
3. The grid size in settings is bigger than it should be.
To fix the issues, in ui_nextgen/common/ui/pioneer_skin.css,
1. TEXT.listitem.submenu
fontsize:fontsize_menu should be changed to fontsize:fontsize_submenu
2. The bottom bar is called quickmenu. Comment out "LIST2.list_quickmenu" section will fix it.
3. The grid is in fact submenu, instead of mainmenu (which is the lower right corner icon)
Comment out "LIST2.list_control, LIST2.list_submenu" section

After I spent a few hours or days on it, I still feel like going back to the 'original' (non-grid) layout. For some reason, there is a 2~3 second delay when I select any function from the menu (either original layout or grid layout) my Nexus 7 (2013), which is strange because the same UI responds faster on my old WinCE 6 device.
