Mysterious gps behaviour - shuts itself down - no error log

I am trying to solve an issue and to help my friend for a long time..


It is about all NEXTGEN EDITIONS and ONLY on TABLETS!!!

We tried:

Huawei T3 8"
Samsung T290
Lenovo TAB A

It happens that if your go inside garage, Tunel, or just by driving navigation SHUTS ITSELF DOWN.
It makes no LOG, debug is emtpy, Android system shows no errror (like shutdown, crash) it just turn itself down)

IT DOES NOT HAPPEN ALL THE TIME, SOMETIMES IT WORKS FOR FEW DAYS AND THAN SUDDENLY SHUTS ITSELF DOWN.

I know we had this problem before with TUNNEL and we tried fixing it by adding ACCURACY_WORKAROUND=1

What I did:

I added this:

I tried

Deleted SAVE folder

Enabled GPS only (turned off mobile/wifi assistance)

It does not help.


I tried all possible combinations with GPS entries but no help.


What is funny it works for few days than shuts itself down than works again foe few days.

It happens only on tablets not on mobile phones???



Is there anything else I can try???

PS. - IT DOES NOT HAPPEN WITH PRIMO just with NEXTGEN (I tried various versions including Pioneer)

Have you tried accuracy_workaround=1 only?
No other setting in sys.txt.

Maybe less is better....

To be honest I tried thousands of sys entries..not sure if I tried this one or not....gonna give it a try but honestly it is driving me crazy. It only happen on tablets not on the phones. What is funny is that PRIMO is immune to those GPS issues or shutdowns.... I do not know..it seems that NNG have some issues with NG version.

It has been reported many times by some friends that GPS causes problems on tablets, large fluctuations and / or weak signals. But only at Primo, more at Nextgen. Other navigation app but no problems with GPS

Well I tried 1 and 0 for accuracy. I tried only neccessary GPS entries still turn itself down in garage or tunnel sometimes.

Same tablets but PRIMO works hmm.

Is there any relation between DATA.zip and GPS behavior?

Any NG version i try it is the same. Again it does not happen always just sometimes....

test Primo once with the data.zip from ->[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

and yes, there are different data.zip, some only worked in portrait format, etc.

No my friend, Primo works fine...there is no need to change anything. I.mean is there any relationship with data and gps inside NextGen?
