Thread: igo nextgen does continue to recalculate long distance routes

Dear members,
On long routes my igo nextgen does continue to recalculate long routes, also the travel data do continue to blink in this situation. I have/had this symptom with different nextgen versions.
I also have igo primo, on my old android device, this combination does not do this!!; it uses the same maps.

Does someone recognise this, can someone contribute how to solve/what is the cause_

First, how long is "long routes?" Second, what is "continue to blink?" Third, what are the "different nextgen versions."

Travel data? What is travel data?

Anyway, I have strong feeling that you are using it on mobile device, and your online traffic is active.

Thank you for the contribution, i now run the pal version nextgen, but i also used the israel version.

With travel data i mean, travel distance and time left etc. With continue to blink, I meant the travel data like distance goes on and off.

With long route i meant as an example, 1300 km from holland to Hungary.

I do not have the symptom when i stay in my home country or travel to a neigbouring country, about 100/200 miles.

i did have indeed set /Online trafic/ on, turned it of, now i did take a look at it again and did notice that it turnes on automatically again.

Thank you for the contributions, i did follow up the instructions, i do not make use of hnr files, the symptoms are still there.

On top of the screen i keep the notion "Route recalculation!"

I have to mention, one time this long distance rout did not "recalculate"/blink!; but i could not repeat it.

Another thing that causes the "Route recalculation!" message is a lost of GPS locked*. Some devices looses locked and reacquired it fast; when that happened, it triggered a route recalculation.

* Noticed I said locked not signal, they are different.

Use different map provider to see if it helps.
