Given that a large number of (new) users still do not know how to assemble the functional NextGen package (or are lazy to browse and read ), here is one more detailed guide, an explanation based of the last standard edition.

The most recent and among the best versions is Nextgen iGO_Pal (Palestine). The name is relatively irrelevant - Avic, Gift, World.... They are all iGO Primo NextGen editions.

- Links and download from topic:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Pal is latest, it has almost all possible functions, it behaves quite well, so I recommend it. But, as said, you can use any that you think suits you best - Avic/Basar/... - from section:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Installation
Simple - download the archive, unpack, get the folder iGO_Pal, let that name remain (although it is possible to rename it to e.g. iGO)
You add the ALL necessary files to that folder - maps and content, globalcfg, DEM file, languages and voices, everything in its right place.
Then you put the integrated package in the root of the internal memory of the device, run the apk, follow the installation and that's it. After installation the apk can be deleted.
Now, depending on the version of Android and the manufacturer, somewhere you have to manually assign software permissions, somewhere you have to adjust a bit more ... but that's up to the phone/tablet/HU ...and user knowledge. Use a google.
To manipulate files and copy/move in the device memory, use a good file manager with all the privileges. Some of the recommended ones are TotalCommander for Android, or X-Plore ... They are easy to find on famous hosts - apkpure, apkmirror, apk4free, a2zapk, etc.
Spoiler: They are recommended for very good reasons

The system in your device can "mask" the real name of the external card and the interior memory. Software of this type, in addition to perfectly manipulating files, displays storage real names. Required when setting the path in the sys file.

No root access required in any case.

Keep in mind that you assemble the package you need yourself. If I need (I travel through) 3-4 countries, I will only put their content. I add other when I need. Unfortunately, most of users put up everything (whole world) according to the hamster syndrome
Nonsense. You slow down navigation and strange situations can occur. So - just what you really need.
Of course, no one forbids you to put everything that is available But really, why?
So in short - download the software, insert the maps and the accompanying content to the intended locations, install and enjoy.

Use the latest edition of the 7-zip or WinRar to unpack the archives if necessary.

Spoiler: Downloads
- the last maps (at the time of creating this topic) from here:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
or
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
the assumption is that you know how to use torrent/magnet links ... or use downloads from "separate links by country" topic.

- last current globalcfg, I recommend improved (universel), from here:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
or,
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

- DEM filem recommended
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
the one ~90MB large is quite enough, or take some other from the topic if you need it

- Speedcams can be picked up from multiple topics. For example
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
and if you need some improved ones or whatever, there are separate ones for Greece, Hungary ... browse the section

- Language and voice - standard. They mostly come in a package. If not, add them from:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

TTS voices, engines and platform are a completely different story, you have to study this issue very well. Same section.

- And, of course, to know where and what is located:

General rules:
- DO NOT OVERLOAD.

Spoiler: Dot
You don't need a complete Europe, Australia, Russia and the Nordic countries ... If your vehicle is not a Betmobile, you will certainly not visit everything in a couple of weeks.
- minimum content - only those countries where you will actually travel in this or the next quarter. Because until the next few, new maps will come out.
- speedcams too. Only from transit countries. It's amazing how that little file can slow down the navi
- if you are not a truck driver, you don't need ftr files i truck_poi
If you are, then these files are mandatory. Also, the software must be adjusted in detail according to the parameters of the truck.
- hnr are mostly surplus, especially on short tours. If you are planning longer tours, you can. If you are traveling only in Eastern Europe, then put hnr files only for Eastern Europe. If your path covers part of Eastern and part of Western Europe, then use hnr which covers the whole of Europe. Not all available (eastern, western, EU-wide)
- DEM, recommendation is to use the 88MB one for the EU, premium are bulky and heavy, on the small screen they are no improvement
- fds files are useless at the moment, don't even download them at all
- if you don't like colorful and change often, you don't need a bunch of schemes or skins. Only when you become skilled, and become aware that you need something more than basic functions, you can follow the topics related to skins.
Clean software is absolutely functional
- save folder only in the internal (this if you have a card and install the software for SD from there, and where possible - older Android versions). For now, stick to standard installation from the internal memory.

Preferably, with newer Android editions, it is necessary to keep the software (50-60MB) in the internal memory, while it is possible to transfer maps and accompanying content (1-4GB) to the card. This is mostly necessary for older mobile phones that do not have enough memory or just if you want to.
If you are also interested in that, the topic is:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
From the whole discussion, it is necessary to pay attention to a couple of lines in the sys file (those related to the naming of the (mSD) card and the folders)

You can have several different editions on the same device following these rules. This way every will have their own content.
It is possible to share the same content, either in the internal memory or on the card.

Bonus
Spoiler: How to find out the exact edition of Android in your device

The Android version (especially with Chinese NoName devices) may be fake.
Install the CPU-Z, from the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] or from one of the hosts
Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links
Run it. In the third tab - System - there is API Level.
Look at [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and find out which level suits your version. For example, API level 29 match Android 10.

In the same tab you can see the architecture of your device.
- Armeabi-v7a » 32bit
- arm64-v8a » 64bit
There are variants (ARMv7/7A/7l...), but they are all within the same family.
In rare cases there are discrepancies » x86_64 (Intel based) and Tegra (NVidia)
