Try this:
(copy into multimode.ini)

[modes]
; mx=WidthMin..WidthMax, HeightMin..HeightMax,Folder
; OR
; mx=Width, Height ,Folder

m3=1024..1050,506..620,"800_480"
m4=536..620,994..1050,"800_480"

and put in sys.txt:

[rawdisplay]
driver=engine
screen_xy="1024_536:1024x536/536x1024:fullscreen"

or
screen_xy="1024_536:1024x506/536x994"
This should help.
