Some Fields not lining up with text, Resolution or status bar issue?
Ok, when first installing IGO on my chinese kitkat head unit, I got an error saying The resolution 1024x536 is not supported. After reading about the aspect ratio and resolutions, I was able to easily input the correct numbers in sys.txt and multimode.ini and it booted right up. However, The text in the speed and clock on left side of screen is much larger than the fields. Like the fields are scrunched up. I myself believe the issue is the status bar on my unit is large and it pushes the image down thus this is the reason it forced me to use a 536 resolution. I would love for someone to tell me how I can either get rid of the status bar, or make changes to force the text and fields to line up. The same goes for the quick search menu. The icons appear to large over the field and the words are cut off at the bottom of the button border. I am going to post a picture of what I mean and would love input from those of you that might have ideas on how to fix this. Thanks much. That's because you are use a too high resolution.
Try to use 800_480.
Modify data\ui_android\multimode.ini :
;m1=400..480,196..320,"480_272"
;m2=234..320,400..480,"480_272"
m3=600..1100,400..600,"800_480"
m4=400..600,600..1100,"800_480"
m5=600..1100,400..600,"800_480"
m6=400..600,600..1100,"800_480"
I made one post in response to your comment, but apparently it didn't show up. Costas, My screen resolution is 1024x600 but with status bar apparently it is 1024x536 or 960x536 because that was the only thing that wouldn't bring up an error when trying to load Igo. In M5 and M6 I had to place 960 in one place, and 536 in another. I would have to look again to see which numbers I changed. Apparently when Igo tried to boot, I was getting an error saying 1024x536 isn't supported, so the screen resolution being returned from android was 1024x536 (I think). What other reason would I get that error? When I made the changes to match the 536, it worked, but as stated you can see the fields not properly lining up. My question is do I also need to change the sys.txt to match the multimode.ini, because raw display is showing 1024_600 and 960_536. Originally, it was set to "auto" and multimode.ini was set to 800x480 but I couldn't get past the 536 error. I wasn't aware one could run 800x480 on a 1024x536 resolution, again its actually 1024x600 but the status bar HAS to be why it is reducing to 536. I have not found anyone yet that can tell me how to auto hide the status bar up top. Sygic does it automatically and it will appear if I touch the top of the screen, but I don't like the sygic UI at all. I am not against trying anything to try and resolve the issue, but I just thought it be best to ask a few questions first. If I only need to change multimode.ini, then will I have to also delete save folder? Thanks much.
Try to delete save folder.
You're not necessarily need to enter the exact size of used screen.
Your screen must be between those limits.
You must force to use 800_480 folder.
first attempt
;m1=400..480,196..320,"480_272"
;m2=234..320,400..480,"480_272"
;m3=600..1100,400..650,"800_480"
;m4=400..650,600..1100,"800_480"
m5=600..1100,400..650,"800_480" ; This mean that on landscape, for resolution with 600<width<1100 and 400<height<600, will use 800_480 folder
m6=400..650,600..1100,"800_480"
second attempt
;m1=400..480,196..320,"480_272"
;m2=234..320,400..480,"480_272"
m3=600..1100,400..650,"800_480" ; This mean that on landscape, for resolution with 600<width<1100 and 400<height<600, will use 800_480 folder
m4=400..650,600..1100,"800_480" ;
;m5=600..1100,400..600,"800_480"
;m6=400..600,600..1100,"800_480"

No need to change sys.txt? I tried the first one and got same error saying 1024x536 not supported, wouldn't boot up IGO. I will try others. I was able to download app that lets me hide status bar. I thought this would solve it, but screen moved up and then gap appeared at bottom about size of status bar! I will try the others and see what happens. Thanks again.
Ok, I have tried all of those and I get the exact same error. "The user interface 1024x536 is not supported or a compatible skin could not be found." The ONLY way I can get IGO to boot and work, is if the highlighted number below is changed to 536 and at the end of M5 and M6 I have 1024x768. I discovered after changing the branding zip back to original, Everything lines up perfect. I really would like to use the skin, but it will not line up correctly. I have tried everything to force 800x480 but it will not work.
;m1=400..480,196..320,"480_272"
;m2=234..320,400..480,"480_272"
;m3=600..1100,400..650,"800_480"
;m4=400..650,600..1100,"800_480"
m5=1024..1280,536..800,"1024_768" ;The highlighted number has to be 536 and the outer resolution in quotes has to be 1024x768 or I cannot boot into IGO at all. Same error as shown above. Tried them all.
m6=600..800,960..1280,"1024_768"
I made some test.
The whole trick is from multimode.ini
In all tests in sys.txt I have :
[rawdisplay]
driver=engine
screen_xy="auto"
I managed to stretch on my resolution ( 1280_720 ) every folder from data.zip :
For your device, modify multimode :
;m1=400..480,196..320,"480_272"
;m2=234..320,400..480,"480_272"
m3=900..1300,400..800,"800_480"
m4=400..800,900..1300,"800_480"
;m5=1024..1280,552..800,"800_480"
;m6=600..800,960..1280,"800_480"
This means that for resolution 1000 < Width < 1300 & 400 < Height < 800 will use 800_480 folder.
