iGO8 (Nav N Go 8.3.280621) update & South African maps

Hi

I have an AudioBank Multi Media Car Unit (AB-3602/BT/GR) with GPS (7" Screen). Removable MicroSD card seems to run the GPS.
Information on GPS is: Nav N Go 8.3.2.80621 Built in 2009.
On start up it says iGO My Way for updates go to [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
When I go to this website there is no Audiobank listed.

How do I update the software and maps on this?
I've called two vehicle sound installers and they say that this unit is not upgradeable or updateable.
When I remove the Micro SD card the GPS doesn't work.
Surely the system runs on Micro SD?
If I copy the 'new version' onto the Micro SD the system will give me the GPS icon on the left and Settings on the right hand side of the screen, I am able to go into the settings but can't access the GPS where all the information is stored.

I've downloaded the iGO My Way 8 - v8.3.5.258186 from Vetor but it doesn't work.

It seems the new maps I've downloaded from the thread Torrent iGO maps world are not compatible with this version either.
The older maps (2009) are compatible but those I already have. It's the HERE maps I'm after as they're newer.

Could someone perhaps give me step-by-step on how to update the software and maps on this system?
