V oice Discussion about setup TTS voices/engines

Will these TTS voices work with version 9.18.27.736653 running on a Samsung TAB 2 running Version Android 4.2.2? I have installed VocalizerTTS and it is working. In iGO settings I try to select English-Aus_universal_unisex_andTTS-Boki_Srb_v.1.zip as my TTS voice and the system locks up.

WarrenB now I have tried iGO World and AUS TTS (English-Aus_universal_unisex_andTTS-Boki_Srb_v.1 / Code Factory Vocalizer) and everything works fine. You have not set up apps well. Try again.

    Thank you kentakta -
I am sure I have not set up something right. By your response to me, can I assume that you are using the same engine located in the android system root (\VocalizerTTS) and have that engine selected in the Android TTS system Language and Input > Text-to-speech settings? What voice are you using in the Android TTS settings?
The English-Aus_universal_unisex_andTTS-Boki_Srb_v.1.zip is then located in the iGP\content\voice folder.

For app setting you must select the correct language. Nothing more. Play with the settings.

For sys.txt: is thyt all you have or only a part of your file.

userninenine - Are you talking iGO app?
That is all of the sys.txt as I am just now trying to set this up for a motor home.

App means Android TTS settings. Make here all settings for your language. You can test there the TTS engine too. You should hear some words if all is correct. This is the base for iGO. Here you only need a TTS voice language and not a standard voice, which to not have the functions for TTS.

WarrenB If this is a full text in sys.txt, then the file is "crippled".
Uses sys.txt that is extracted from iGO applications. Don't change anything.

That is unedited sys.txt file as down loaded. That is why I asked about it.

TTS at Android settings is working fine - at least the test is. iGO is another story. There is a disconnect somewhere.

Just noticed this World version does not have a Truck options. I will have to pick another version.......
