HI,
I have TTS working on NextGen, but I've got a minor issue:
After and announcing street name, I get a few of extra words, that sounds like "A Os = 1", or could be "A Aus = 1" This seems to only happen when the instruction finishes with the street name, e.g. "Turn left into Smith Street. A Os equals one." It doesn't happen if there is a following maneuver mentioned, e.g. ""Turn left into Smith Street and arrive at your destination."
I'm running:
- Nokia 2.1 (TA-1093) with Android Go Edition v8.1.0
- TTS = inbuilt Google TTS Engine - English
- TTS Voice File = English-Aus_universal_unisex_andTTS-Boki_Srb_v.1.zip
- IGO NextGen 9.18.27.702387 01 Jun 2017
- pongo skin - v 12 Nov 2018
- Map = Australia 2018.Q1 HERE [180327]
I've tried looking through all of the .lang and .lau files for "A Os = 1" , but can't find them anywhere.
Any clues would be greatly appreciated on how to get rid of the "A Os = 1" .
Cheers,
Greg
EDIT:
Stop Looking - I found it in the TTS Voice file in config_transform_tables.lua. It's actually "eos=1". So I just deleted it:
{L"([0-9.?])[.]+ *[|^]* *$", L"%1 \\eos=1"},

Hello,
I need some help, this install works great - i can use TTS on my android Head unit (chinese / MTCB with 5.1.1)
But my previous install (which i accidentally overwrote), used to have nuance tts, but the engine voice outputted from igo (not from tts system)
This is important because my head unit detects when sound comes from igo app, and mutes other voices. - If sound comes from system tts, then it does not mute.
there was a thread that described how to do this: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
but all the links are dead
can anybody help?
thanks heaps!
Fantastic tutorials. I have this working with TTS on my Motorola Android 8 mobile phone flawlessly with VocalizerEX2 and English AUS voices.
Unfortunately I cannot get it to work correctly on my Android Head unit in the car. It is running Android 10. iGo version - iGO (Israel) NextGen 9.18.27.687519.
On both devices I have setup the folders as per Hardcoreita's instructions. I have had to delete the files in the Phoneme folder. It appears to work partially when selected in Regional settings but once the unit is power off and back on it no longer works.
The Language settings Text to Speech Output is selected to the correct language in VocalizerEx2 engine.
Any ideas? Or is this setup not compatible with the latest Android version. Worth noting that none of the original TTS voices and Vocalizer 1 work any more.
Your unit for sure is not under Android 10.
Much has been written about such cases in the Forum
Aside from being fake build, devices often have crippled Android, missing components and features, and so on.

Thanks Boki_Srb
I have read all your posts and have it working on my phone. The head unit is only a week old. Thought Android 10 was out but now suspect you are right with the fake build. All other features on the head unit work as does iGo without TTS. Guess I will have to accept that.
