Why install a 5 year old basemap?
I've never had problems with a basemap
Maybe it was because you still had "blocked roads" in the save folder.
The problem also occurs when you install new maps
HI,
during the time I have tried different released of basemap and some of them got my problems, errors,
I attach her a version of basemap that did not give me trouble and is working well on both wince or android devices.
the version is: Basemap_NNG_2012.03_180511 and is 8994 KB
PS I do not understand why I cannot add a zip attachment to this message.

I too have the knowledge of more than 100 camper- and other friends that there have never been any problems with a Basemap.fbl, for a long time the Basemap_NNG_2012.03_210623.fbl

All the functionality of this notorious basemap.fbl boils down to highlighting the borders of the countries of the world and the ability to launch a program to familiarize yourself with it (poke buttons), without the main content, in short, I don't have basemap, as an extra potential problem and everything works and everyone will have it on smartphones...
P.S: For head unit devices it is needed...

I generally distribute my basic version with Basemap.fbl, since an iGO then starts even if no country map is available, so iGO does not "strike" when starting.
In addition, this fbl is ultimately responsible for the fact that iGO can be zoomed in on to the globe.
Yes, everyone has to decide for themselves....... 😉

I am aware that there are several download offers where, among other things, some *.dem files are published as 'basemap' or *.dem files or basemap_xxxx.fbl are offered under several names. Also, some are so dated that they are forever illegitimate.
Since the publication of Basemap_Nng_2012.03_210623.fbl (2021.06.23) here in the forum, which I have passed on to all my friends, it is mostly installed and there are no known problems with it.

There are never problems with the any basemap file ... It only needs to correspond to the area (market) for which it is intended.
Otherwise, in recent years we have returned to using maps of only one provider (mostly).
By the way, I just noticed .. as the Forum engine upgrade has been done, it seems that there are no more problems accessing the first page
Two more releases of basemaps with time stamp 23.06.2021
Basemap_NNG_2012.02_210623
Basemap_NNG_2013.06_210623
Spoiler: 2012.02_210623 + 2013.06_210623
