    help Navigation app designed for pedestrians

    Hello,
    It is usual to get lost in a city you don't know. But even if you have a smartphone, most of the navigation apps although excellent for drivers, won't be very helpful for a pedestrian, telling you to head north or south...
    Indeed, I use Waze and Tomtom when traveling in the city. Arrived at almost destination, I get out of the car and try to go to my address, my smartphone displays the map but, it is unable to tell me the direction.

    Could you recommend an app (Android 12) designed or working for pedestrians?
    Regards

    You should try "Go to Walking Mode" in Sygic Aura.

    Google Maps in city, Locus out of roads (with proper osm maps).
    Before asking a question, know it's already discussed here and at 99.9% is not unique. Use search.

    Spoiler: obs
    Many questions become very arduous, a lot of time chewed deja vu...Since we have lost all the year of work and effort, many people have no will to answer the same questions again. Me neither. Use a search, please.

    @coukou,

    You also got good answers over at gpsurl which I and nyky gave you.

    AlpineQuest Off-Road Explorer

    and

    OSMAND+

    Plus here is a list of apps that are here.

    If you are searching on the Google Store try this search "GPS walking"

    Google maps shows you the roads that have footpaths and gives you a dotted line and directions AND if you can't work out which way to walk from the map if you go the wrong way, then I can't help you.
