I have a Montana 600, a little big to just put it in a pocket of my trouser so every now and then I leave it at home.
A couple of times the smartphone HTC wildfire S helped me out, using the standard google cards instantly downloaded through the phone's 3G network.
The Oregon I had previously had a display size just a bit too small to make orientation.

I have a Chinese 2 DIN aftermarket GPS system fitted in my car. UP to 2 days ago i was using Primo2.0 with a Dimka skin. This works perfectly and i am very happy with.

Previously i was using Primo2.4 ver 9.6.13.267029, which worked perfectly, but if i turned off the car without exiting from the satnav it would then freeze the next time i switched on. have now downloaded Primo2.4 ver 9.6.13.351648, from this forum and so far it is behaving itself.

So, thanks for a very good forum which i now visit very regularly.

    Hi !
I began occupying a Nuvi (205W) only. Then added TomTom to my smartphone, and by now added Viago from Garmin.
Now, I use in short trips or in my town the smartphone, and on Vacation trips the Nuvi.

I use Garmin on my phone. It's easier to use the same device whether I drive, walk or cycle.

For proffesional use a TT GO950 Live with Live Service. So I never get stuck in traffic ( I hope :D ). Also very handy as an extra carkit.
As an alternative I have a Smasung Tab with TomTom, iGO truck, Garmin, Navigon, Here and Sygic. Why six???? Just because it's possible. :D

And if everything fails, there is always an old Nokia phone with ovi maps.

I use Smartphone because for me it's easier to use then a PND and i have it with me all the time.
The only exception is on the motorcycle where i cannot replace a good PND built for motorcycles (brightness, waterproof, charging solution).
