Got a TomTom 60S in my ride, need nothing else.
I'm using an 7' WinCE tablet + iGO Primo in my camper and it's the best option for me. Sometimes I simultaneously compare Garmin and iGO on the same route and in most cases iGO is better.
My experience is still, that a dedicated external navigation gps is better as the build in device. For example, the Garmin based in Nissan is just aweful. I don't know why, but it routes much worse that the stand alone gps unit from Garmin.
I use IGO basarsoft in the car and lately I've been using a mobile phone with google maps at the same time for comparison
It depends on what you consider better. An AIO solution has many advantages but many more disadvantages. In our a 2014 Mazda it has a small Nav screen running the infotainment and more. We have no real place to mount a GPS or the cell phone as we use heavier cases.Quote:

Our old Garmin Nuvi (it's been so long I can't remember the model anymore) hasn't been used since before covid. I've always wanted to somehow strap (on) a tablet running Google Maps onto the Nav screen but we haven't found a way to do so without obstructing the screen view. I'm not even sure it would be legal. AA/ACP is too expensive and not justifiable considering the small OEM screen size.
Hi, im using an android headunit with igo primo and google maps. But google maps is very slow, so mainly igo primo. Also im rethinking of using just a smartphone for navigation, because everytime i get a new (second hand) car, i need to buy an expensive headunit for it. So thus i am now thinking of going to an android smartphone with igo primo. Only thing is that i have to seach a solution for a backup camera, because i have no clue yet if that is possible on a phone. So in short, a dedicated device for now.
The best navigator is an android device
Locally, I mostly use google maps. Use Kia car navigation only when I go on long trips, or Android iGO World (depending on where the newer or more accurate maps are). In the sparsely populated mountainous areas, google proved to be (at least for me) very bad, several times I felt like I was in the wrong turn movie.
Hi, I used to have a PNA with WinCe and the one I liked the most on it was iGO 8, now that the PNA stopped working I use a somewhat outdated mobile phone but it works with iGO_Pal with Pongo skin of the Spanish version by bako1970 and it works very well.
