Just bought a Garmin driveassist 51 lmt-s. The dash cam came with a 4gb sd card, not sure how the camera is supposed to work🤔
Usually used tomtom go, now I use carminat tomtom live by renault
For short routes, when I am just looking an address I use on-boad navi (IGO on WinCE), for long trips I use IGO on Android smartphone, both offline. If I need traffic info, I use Google Maps on android smartphone.
Dedicated Stand Alone GPS. I have seveal units though Garmin is my go to
I do exactly the same, prefer the TomTom in the car but phone has far better battery life when walking aroundQuote:

I got a hand me down Garmin standalone, I hardly use that as the phone app is much easier to update and maintain.
Another point is how much nicer a phone screen is versus the tiny LCD screen on standalones.
I stopped using standalones years ago. iGo and Sygic on my Android have always go me where I need to go.
I talk, text, and sometimes check email on my phone. I navigate with a GPS.
I have tried many devices but ended up with Huwei T3 8" Tab.
It has:
iGO Gift
iGO Israel (+ pongo customized by me)
iGO Primo
Sygic GPS
Copilot GPS
TomTom NDS
Here Maps
Google Maps
On my Note 8 just iGO World and Copilot GPS Sygic in Car (TT maps unfortunately) + Google Maps
I use licensed software, I never regreted. I can find anything here but I support developers by using licensed software.
