All US/AU etc and early EU 1300 'out of the box' lacked LA, JCV & SLI. You have fw 6.10 so you can flash using acelite's sd method: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] (Post #673). If the jcv file you have actually matches the map (i haven't checked) jv will work. Just remember that only some major junctions/exits have jv, not all.

Thanks loaded the Updater for the SD card, it seemed to update as the screen showed....LOADER.....LOADING SOFTWARE. How do I check to see if updated?. Did I need to remove GUPDATE.GCD from system first because I did not. Not yet tried the JCV on simulation but have now noticed the map will not load from SD card GMAPSUPP.IMG . Internal map working OK... Have to go on motorway run later I will report what happens, thanks for your reply

On 'Where To? / Map' screen, press top RH corner (batt. indicator) for several seconds. Press 'Next' > 'Start Test' > 'More'. Splash should show: D1340-50 if the features are enabled. If it shows D1340-00 the flash hasn't been successful. If so, remove GUPDATE.gcd (back it up) and try again.

thanks for this post everything went smooth and enable all the features on garmin 1300..

Hi and thanks to all, the upgrade works fine had a long trip on motorway yesterday and today the JCV file D2504090A works fine though comes on full screen, going to remove this and try D3084060A and see what happens

You will still have full screen becouse nuvi 1xxx dont use half screen but your picture from D3084060A will be stretched.

Se funziona bene lascialo stare. Il D3084060A non aggiungerà niente al tuo apparato.
La visualizzazione sarà sempre a schermo intero,e forse potresti avere qualche JV in meno
If it works well leave him alone. The D3084060A will not add anything to your system.
The display will always be fullscreen, and you might have some JV less

EDIT: sorry,lolly.....but tested both the 1340 I have not noticed any difference. Maybe on models using high resolution ( 7x5 ??...)
