Hi there!
Last weekend I updated several etrex 10 receivers. All worked perfect - just one update failed. It's an Etrex 10 CAN 310. Using GarminExpress all took somehow longer with this device.
But that is all I can remember. The problem turned up when I wanted to install some new waypoints using basecamp. The little symbol for the device had changed and there was no access anymore.
Running on batteries display shows "Garmin" after start and then "system software missing" pops up ("Garmin" still underneath). Device can be switched of.
Connecting with USB the same thing happens but there's no other way to switch the device off than disconnecting USB.
Connecting with USB the typical windows sound for new USB devices is there. "Garmin USB device" is visible in windows settings but it can't be found in the list of drives.
New USB drivers are installed. Hard reset (Menu + Enter + On) makes things running slower but the result is the same. "Joystick up" when starting also doesn't change anything.
So the whole device is stuck in itself. GarminExpress doesn't see the device anymore. Basecamp identifies the device (incl. no.) but there's no further access possible. Firmware update can be downloaded but finally the message "download file corrupted" shows up - end of the story.
I've already read about GarminCure but I can't find the access to any rgn-files for it. Is there a (hopefully) simple and save method to get this device into working order?
Thanks in advance for your help!
