converting nuvi 2465T tw to nuvi 2465 sg/my

I brought the device from taiwan last year, the TTS is in mandarin. I would like to flash the firmware to sg/my, is it possbile? they have the same HWID, do I just flash the sg/my firmware or do I need to use the rgn tool? thanks.

It's same hardware and only different configuration.

No extra guest modification, only configuration with locale.

Yes. You can flash with original SgMy firmware directly.
All menus will be changed to be SgMy unit but Sgmy JCV still not work.

didnt support english TTS. that's what I want to flash to sg/my firmware.

This would really surprise me if the unit doesn't support English TTS.
So far every Taiwan unit supports English TTS, incl. British English, Australian English and my 3790 also Indian English
