I think its nothing wrong with that,i tell you my little experience.When you click save you think nothing happens,WRONG.
You just have a new modified 140.bin just see the new recorded archive time ! its newer than the backup.
Another way to verify is opening again and you will se already mark enable options.

I want to tell how i resolve to backup reg140 because i could not do it before.
with 3790 firm i try diferents brands of memory with no succes but when i short,reduce the name in the update.txt "/140_backup.bin'' to ''/140_b.bin'' i could !!!
with 34xx firm i could at the first time with /140_backup.bin sentence.

In folder .System\Diag create new folder and rename it to html,then turn off and on nuvi and look in folder if you have inside supported_features.html

well,i did it but nothing new in html folder.I already copy the o bytes Enable Features files34xx *.xml in Garmin folder and also modify my 34xx 140.bin file.
