Hi lolypop000, i am new to this (newbie) and have a brand new 3790, can i enable the features of a 3490 on it right away, if yes, how? Thank you in advance.

I saw and read the post but was really skeptical since its almost a year old. However, since my fears are now doused, i'll give it a try. One more thing, i've seen NV Backup, what does the NV stand for, NUVI? And also, i downloaded a nuvi34xx_GCDFile__710.gcd, will it work, or i have to use the one in the post (4.40/4.50? Thanks a lot for your help, Brother!

I do not have that model to try, but I think you can do it with firmware 34xx_7.10

You can use 7.10.

I downloaded the kit from Lolypop000 and followed the instructions on my 3590LMT North American and it worked flawlessly.
