It was easier to use the already done application: to add and remove features
Post moved to the existing thread.
NOTE: @Ralph525 use sticky indexes to search and post please in already existing threads or it will be hard for users to find infos in a not indexed thread and in wrong sections too-
    Thanks

Are there any new updated simplified instructions, perhaps a .bat file that allows the 3597 LMT (North America) to enable EcoRoute?

I read a lot of the info here and I see numerous confused individuals and a lot of understandable frustration from the person seeking assistance and from the people giving out help or suggestions . I can empathize with everyone especially since I do agree that this process is rather daunting especially for the non technical person. Nothing is more frustrating if detailed instructions are missing and one must come to their own conclusions on how to do something or move forward.

BTW, I opened up the instructions to the RAR file (For Enabling future on nuvi 35xx.rar) and unfortunately, I wasn't able to understand the writer's narration/instructions.

ok this is what i did from lolipop menu...:
extracted on sd card ...the "for backup region 140"
then the extracted folder i renamed 1101....as instructed introduced in the garmin turned it on..and waited....It did turn on and off.....then by itself but never turned on again....regardless when I lookd later tat the card...it did not have the reg 140.bin it only had a ldr.bin...Tried to patch that one..saved it on the erased card....extracted the for writing region 140.and renamed it into 1101....again introduced the card....in nuvi with the patched ldr.bin in rood....turend on...it turned off ..waited nothing happened....and removed card...turned on ..nothing changed...
\Now ...what was I missing??? pls???

Delete last_id.bin and update.log from the memory card.
Make sure that these files do not exist on the memory card before placing memory card inside Garmin Nuvi.

I love Garmin products and all the great people in this forum who come up with such great mods, and also to all those who help everyone else out. Without you guys the world would be such a boring place
