please help me. Im new in this forum and Im from Mexico, so please be kind with me and my english too
I have a Garmin nuvi 1300N and allmost everithing woks "great". the problem is here:
Many streets in the device are in the wrong direction (opposite way) but I dont know since when, because I noticed this when I was testing my device in my own town, and the surprise was when the GPS tried to take me in the wrong way to my destiny, so I checked this with the basecamp map installed on my Mac and there appears the streets in the correct direction, so I deleted, installed, reinstalled different mexico´s maps, I did a reset by Holding the right bottom corner of the screen etc... on my device but the streests still appearing in the wrong direction.
How can I fix this?
do I need to format and reinstall everithing on my device?

Download map from my.garmin.com again. May be you have downloaded broken release? 99% the problem is in map file

The map with the wrong streets directions is stored in the external memory. I have downloaded and tried with 3 versions (Garmin City Navigator Mexico 2011.30, 2012.20 and 2012.30) and its the same with all. I have downloaded form here: xxxx
I forgot to tell you something else:
1.- bought the garmin 1300 N without mexico´s map (only North America)
2.- one day, I installed a "dificult" map version (Garmin City Navigator NT 2011.40 NA unlocked North America) and everithing was OK (I made a ISO img from my devise as a backup first with my Mac as a backup)
3.- another day I updated the firmware version from the garmin webpage and after that was allmost imposible to aquire satellites. I have had to restart my unit from 3 to 5 times to get salettiles signals
4.- next day I deleted everithing form my device and put the original files from my backup file to the device just to try to aquire satellites signals again.
5. the problem to get satellites signal was not solved and I downloaded a new and simple mexico´s map files and installed in the external memory
5.- finally, another firmware was releesed from Garmin and I installed that and now the device aquire satellite signals allmost as fast as new.
In the middle of this process (dont know exactly when) I found that some streets has wrong ways and I downloaded, deleted an reinstalled again and again the mexico´s maps updated from here xxxx without any success.Last edited by catymag; 2nd January 2012 at 02:31 AM. Thank you very much for ur help! this is very usefull for me (im downloading the new maps now, I will reply later if my problem was fixed or not).
I have a couple cuestions here (maybe are stupid cuestions but Im new in this, I dont understand everithing well and my english is not good as I wish):
1.-I just want to know what are the D315600.DB, D2329070A.G2S, and ASR/SRX FILE´s, how do I install and If they are usefull to my nuvi 1300N.
2.- I have lifetime NA maps updates for free, do I need to download the CN North America NT 2012.30 UNLOCKED IMG from the link above? , and what if later I decide to update that maps from the garmin webpage, this process will lock or disable any maps?
3.- what´s the difference between CN North America NT 2012.30 UNLOCKED IMG and gmap3d.img Unlocked (from the suggested link)

If you have LT ,you need just to register on MyGarmin page and download the new map with Mapupdater it will give all the files you need, gma files and .unl files too : it's the easiest way .
No problem with unlocked IMGs , you can copy them in an sd and remove it if you have problems.
