Thread: Transform a Nuvi 37xx in a Nuvi 34xx for dummies

I suppose that you've already done this test on several different days and then have sure that it is not an occasional problem. So let's try to diagnose it: which vehicular cable that you are using? (GTM??). If is the GTM26 or 36 with signature jetmouse (unofficial), sorry but not going to work.
Another possibility to isolate the problem: you have tried a different cable, or use your cable in another gps? If yes, which?
Finally, it would be desirable if you can post screenshots of Traffic Receiver Status, T. Receiver Subscriptions and Traffic Receiver Providers, but with properly attached GTMxx cable to vehicle and gps (these screens are hidden on Diagnostics Page/Developer Info, accessible by pressing and holding the upper right corner of the screen Volume).

I'm using the original GTM supplied with my 3760T, a GTM35.

I'm not able to check with a different cable.

Reception seamed to be a bit poor today, so no payed traffic providers...

The screens are ok, subscription and tune, despite the weak signal. It may be an occasional problem, lack of traffic information in the RDS signal, intermittent failure tuner (happens a lot in GTM25and 35 cables) or some unexpected blockage in the firmware update. For this last situation, just go back to the previous firmware and check if it works and then reinstall the 34xx fw and check, it should work. For failure tuner you should observe the screens Traffic tuning, moving the cable in various positions and see the result, if nothing happens the problem is not out there. To know if it is some intermittent problem with the FM radio that transmits the signal, the ideal would be to check if other garmin gps has worked correctly. It is also important to test gps and cable separately with different devices.
