I can hear beeps when I touch the screen, but there is no display. Also, it will not connect via USB to my PC.
What can I do?
I didn't cross-post, and that link has nothing to do with a NUVI that starts with a white screen.
If it cannot be accessed by PC in Mass Storage Mode it is probably bricked. The white screen is an indication of it being badly bricked and also possibly faulty hardware. First action is to load cure firmware to attempt MSM access. Read these threads:

As you can see you got the same links from Neil too.
May be they have something to do![]()

The white screen unit still has a white screen after following the unbricking, though it can now be picked up by the Express program. I followed the procedure on my other unit that wouldn't connect, and it still won't connect and now has no maps or anything else. So, I borked a working unit that just couldn't connect via USB.
Ok, I went to the Cure firmware and installed an earlier version of the firmware (5.90), and then Express picked it up and updated it. But, it still doesn't get detected by Express unless I put it in pre-boot mode or reinstall the Cure firmware.
But, this is good enough for now.
After installing cure fw did you back up and then reformat with RMPrepUSB and then load original firmware before updating with GE?

On this unit with white screen, do you open it and see if flat cable is connected OK?
When you use cure FW you must use prebusb to format it and then create empty folder Garmin on unit and after this flash in pre boot with Original FW
If you do this, your unit will connect to Pc and GE and Webupdater will see it.
