It seems strange that TOPO has a display 3dTerrain (DEM) or 3dbuilding (gmap3d),or which may render the 3D Terrain/3dBuilding of other map (CN)
Try disabling the gmap3d.img or DEM and see if it behaves the same.
If you post a screenshot we can better understand.Tnx...

Have you modified topo transparency with GMapTool ?
You have to navigate to get to the good.

So do you have Australia gmapdem.img and topo Australia v4 ?
3Dterrain can work even on flat topo maps using gmapdem.img or alternatively shadings can come from basemap-
Topo has value priority 20, parameters 1 4 9 33 , gmapdem value priority 30, parameters 1 3 17 1-

After reading the Map Priorities and Layering link, I have the latest Australia & NZ NT 3013.30, Garmin Worldwide Autoroute DEM Basemap NR 5.01, and all of my other .img (3D etc) are Australian
The TOPO Australia & New Zealand v4. is on my SD card in a Map Folder, with nothing else on the card.

I think it is the view of BaseMap, 3DTerrain is quite another
To remember, then, that you can not select other map CN if you select this TOPO

Yes I think it is that 2595LMT does not show 3D Terrain, and that what I/we discovered is the Aus Topo has a good basemap, that looks kinda 3D!!
