Sony Xperia Z1 Compact
updated to 5.1.1 m still working so fine
but I noticed the junctions do not appear, the screen split but nothing
am not sure is it the phone update or the new files am using
-
Most likely wrong jvc file or its missing or in wrong folder. If it worked pre 5.1.1 then it should still work.

Hi! I can confirm it's working on a Sony Xperia Z3.
Sadly it doesn't work on my old HTC One X.
Greetings!

Works fine on Sony Xperia Z 5.1.1 no root and Sony Xperia M2 5.1.1 no root too.

Hello
has spent several days as I read the forum, (my English is not very good), I have not found my answer.
I have a galaxy tabS SM-T700 Version 5.0.2 android no rooted with 2560x1600 resolution.
What is the best version I can install?
thank you for your reply.

It starts on my 7 inch GPS DVR 800x480 device, Android 4.4.2. However every time it's started it takes some time to appear and it's necessary to choose the country and agree to terms of use. Also, the upper part the screen flashes and gets blurred, like this:
....
Any hints of a fix or workaround this?

i have the same problem with mine. i bet it has to do with the resolution being fixed and the navigation bar.
im on 4.2.2 and unable to hide the nav bar.

I also think so. This app retrieves the information about the effective screen size:
Code:
https://apkpure.com/screen-size-and-density/lt.andro.screensize
In my case:
Resolution: 480x800
StatusBar height: 25px(25dip)
ActionBar height: 56px(56dip)
Aplication Windows Size: 407x800
Content (White) Area:
Top position: 81px
Height: 351px (351dip)
Bottom position: 432px
Navigation height: 48px
Screen density: 160dip (x1.0).
Now we just need to know how to customize the program display and save the settings. :)

yet another success. :classic:
ALPS X8 "Land Rover" rugged phone (water-, shock- and dustproof for adventures in nature)
* MTK6592, GPU Mali-450 MP, 720*1280
* rooted
* Android 4.4.2
* /Storage/sdcard0
* StreetPilot_2.37pi_sdcard0_signed.apk
I did have a bit adventure with these installations into two alike phones, 1:st one just like the method in "1:st post" here guides;
1:st time opening SP I got the 'black screen', needed to kill SP (blue triangle notification kept hanging on)
2:nd time opened OK, SP asked setup stuff a.s.o. Worked OK after that!
2:nd phone I installed a bit different from "1st post":
1. copied all
/Storage/sdcard0/Android/data/com.garmin.android.apps.gmobilext/files/Garmin -stuff to sdcard0
2. copied map, voice, text, vehicle, keyboards, POI, themes and all previous stuff too, to folder
/Storage/sdcard0/Garmin
including 'real' items like maps, voices, vehicles a.s.o to pick from in starting-setups and setups in SP.
this way I got also timezone and worldclock working properly.
3. installed StreetPilot_2.37pi_sdcard0_signed.apk
after install I hit 'done', not 'run'.
then, finally opened SP from icon:
1:st time:
began to start and initiate, then got 'SP has stopped', but I just waited a few secs more to see what happens,
SP kept still 'loading/working', waited some more, and finally pushed 'OK' for this 'stopped thing',
and SP opened OK, and wanted GPS on, setups, a.s.o. -- Worked OK!
2:nd time:
SP asked basic setups again, but next times after that SP has remembered all things.
/Storage/sdcard0/Garmin
seems to be the main folder for me to get things working in SP!
so, very very nice and smooth, great!
some additional notes still, as SP basicly works and navigates, guides and talks nicely:
++ both INT- and SD-installation are good
(moved to 'SD' with LP; this 'SD' is part of '32GB phone memory', not a movable 'real SDcard')
++ normal garmin (zumo) CNE and TOPO maps with any file names work
(no more zumo550 filename hassel); useful in off-road bikers use, too.
++ address search (city, street + number, postal code a.s.o.) works perfect when CNE map is placed as gmapprom.img in .system folder instead of map folder; fuels, shops a.s.o. finds when GPS has got your place... swiftkey helps typing, but normal keys searches immediately...
++ vehicles, text and voices in my language work, even notepad-edited text files
(I did some translation adjustments for not-too-great-translated originals,
and even replaced that annoying start 'warning text' with my favorite song lyrics...) :)))
-- Safetycamera-POIs are placed in SD and 'checked' by SP-setup, but don't seem to appear/alarm in traffic use (?)
..... ookey, did some more reading, so cyclops not working, but SCDB SpeedCams do work:
Code:
http://www.gpspower.net/pois-voices-speedcams-vehicles/301651-garmin-scdb-info-worldwide-speed-camera-database-up-latest-2.html#post1024779
:pirate:
EDIT:
I managed to install same 2:nd way as above,
StreetPilot_2.37pi_800x480_storage_sdcard0_signed.apk
to my old faitful "Land Rover", ALPS A8 MTK6572, GPU Mali-400 MP, 480*800, rooted, Android 4.2.2,
it is working great, too.
cheers!
