Hi,
Have been reading to install Street Pilot on Galaxy tab 3. Some doubts I wish to clear
1) Is it necessary to root? some sites mentioned changing of permissions and need to root but I also read files which says no-root
2) What are the pre-requisites for a new tab3, esp softwares apps
3) anyone installed on tab3 which can identify which of the various options suitable, esp on post 1 and post 469
Thanks in advance for any help
If you did read the posts you would know that no root is needed as long as the install file includes the correct files for your device. That is what you saw in post 469. The only software requisite is that you are using a 4.1.1 or 4.1.2 ROM. It will not work correctly on newer ROMs yet.
Edit: Dang! catymag beat me to the punch.
You have to navigate to get to the good.
Galaxy S5 Kitkat 4.4.2 / Nuvi1200->1250 / Nuvi3790T->34xx / Nuvi 2200 / Nuvi 66 / Oregon 600
Hi baghdadvaio,
Kindly help help to add thai Text Language please.
Thanks,

Forgot to state my tab 3 is also on 4.1.2, guess different region comes differently.
I checked on the sosaw forums mentioned which provided other packages but none gives the exact resolution as tab3, 1024x600. Will try the version for tab7.7 you provide

My question on root arises when I tried to copy libgmxt.so to \system\lib and hit error of root required, similarly
when I was trying to change the permission with RE manager. Is there other software that can change permission w/o root?
For the few versions of apks I tested only once I saw the Garmin word and it aborted immediately, subsequent run gives "unfortunately street pilot stopped...". All other versions I just see this message
Is it better for me to use the Storage/sdcard0/Garmin version in #469 ? since it did not mention the need to work with ligmxt.so hence no root is required.
Thanks

Thanks but i've got a lot of gpx files with track logs and manually drawed lines of shortcuts over mountains etc. And i want to view them all at once.
I have however found a way to accomplish this if anybody else is interested. Download this app
and make a transparent map of your tracks. With this app you can change the color and style of the track, pretty sweet. Then copy the img and typ file to the map folder!Code:Please Login or Register to see the links
