    Hi,

I have a Galaxy S2 JB 4.1.2 Nordic, non-rooted. I firstly installed (multi-language) SP on the internal SD (from ‘StreetPilot_A80.apk’) . My map is CNE 2014.20 NTU.

When adding some other maps I ran out of the internal space so I uninstalled SP and re-installed it on an external SD using ‘StreetPilot 2.22_extSdCard_noroot_add_th.apk ‘ (this I think was the only possibility because the link to ‘2.16_extSdCard_no_root_add_ language’ seems to be dead). I’m using ‘libgarminos-extSdCard.so’ .

Everything is basically OK, I however can’t get the junction view to work with any of the .jcv files I’ve come across. When SP was installed on the internal SD at least one .jcv could open an empty window (I haven’t tried that since). With Highway Mode set on I can see the list of coming turns.

Does anyone know if this has something to do with rooting? I mean, my libgarminos.so and libgmxt.so still have the default permissions which I’m currently not able to change.

IT depends on many factors: Phone processor and model, Rom....

Well, maybe I expressed myself a bit badly, I meant that I tried the .jcv files that are associated to the map I have. Anyway, the other problem I didn’t mention was that when I switched to an external SD I lost .dem terrain shading. This happened when I copied contents of \Garmin folder from the internal storage to SD. The SD card was an old one that I’ve had since the phone was new. So after that operation I (still) had no working jcv AND no terrain either…

But when I launched SP using a brand new SD card that had initially nothing but \Garmin folder I miraculously got terrain shading back AND have now also junction views!!!

It would be nice to know why this worked. What I can see is that my phone created at least .android_secure and LOST.DIR folders (both are empty) on the external SD. Or could it be so that an empty SD card somehow forced SP to clear some internal ini file?
