Thank you very much for this detailed advise, which is highly appreciated. I really like your precise recommendations leading even a "DAU" like me to acceptable results. Ill try to test it by tomorrow but most likely with german POIs...more usefull for me:-)

				Forgot to Mention...
The India Map is not accurate for Garmin. It always shows the next road to where am travelling.
Any Ideas how to fix this ?
My Built in Nokia Maps and Google Maps shows my correct positions. Only this Garmin seems to be buggy...

I need little help after hours of attempting, reading posts and using search. I got XT 5oooo installed on my N95 working fine with basemap worldwide. I further installed CNE NT 2008 All mapID 284. When I go to "extras" > "manage data" > "mapsets" > it shows 2 maps and I can switch to 284. When I return which is the only remaining option it returns to basemap. I already generated new keys for device and map 284 the last one saved as GMAPPROM.UNL for GMAPPROM.IMG where I saved the map. Restarted , deleted reinstalled etc......no success. Please can anyone help...maybe Catymag ;-)

same old story i think, contol with explore on your phone if there is text. ext
have you followed this?
Connect your unit as a removable drive again and open the SW.UNL file in Notepad. Paste the CARD ID unlock code in. Resave the file. If you are using locked maps, open GMAPSUPP.UNL with Notepad and paste in the map unlock code. You should now have unlocked software .(caution! you must remove txt ext with xplore coz you cant see it in windoz)
cheers

thanks for swift reply...I did exactly what you recommended even before I posted here. I see all ext. and all hidden and system files due to settings in windows. I controlled all files and it appears, that all voice files are missing. May be other support files as well. I deleted the whole stuff from c: and e: manualy and will set it up from the very beginning. Well see what happens. One gets wise by committing mistakes :-) .
