You have to navigate to get to the good.

Hi... i did download this file from RS library... and installed it on my mobile nokia 5800. in the root Garmin XT, but when i restarted the mobile.. under the mapsets its does not show the map... nor in the garmin folder... its in IMG format and supposedly unlocked... what seems to be the problem ?
i directly downloaded it to my pc and transfered to my phone using mass stogarge... and it did show the file under the root garmin in the mobile... but when i opened the application garmin xt,i cannot find it.
i also found some detailed maps of sri lanka on
mapsntrails.com/en/sri-lanka/maps-vector/item-829]Maps of Sri Lanka | Maps 'n Trails - free maps for Garmin GPS, Tools and more[/url]
which has a download link to the entire country map
mapcenter2.cgpsmapper.com/maplist.php?count
which installs in your mapsource... which converts it in to .img
which transfers to your mobile perfectly as well... and it does show up under
mapsets... but the problem is somehow you cannot open the map. it says to spell state?
any idea, what im doing wrong?
can you post a screen of your garmin folder please?
how have you mamed your map file ?

many thanks for the 31 MB link
i have already installed - but no details
BUT i really cannot see the road names or get any POI
pls help - i am going to sri lanka this week
thanks
This map is the same map as the one at mapcenter2, only transferred into a single gmapsupp.img. It is one of these "better than nothing" maps and to my knowledge it is the only Garmin-compatible map of Sri Lanka.
