which gps do you have? I think every Garmin device can simulate

I've tried that. Maybe my map is off since I can't search for any known POI's or addresses.

Put GPS off, browse the map, put your position on map in Costa Rica, choose a destination and simulate it.
You have to navigate to get to the good.

Thanks,rep+, the 6.2 map is retail version and it's not locked, folder contains POIs and speedcams too
