It is the only Garmin map I know which comes with an online installer. Download ump-pcpl-setup.exe (approx. 1Mb) and run it. Now you can choose where you want to install the map and which version of the map you want to install. I did choose the proposed "Wersja samochodowa z ogonkami", there are other versions also but Google Translator was not very helpful to understand the meaning of the versions. "samo" means "self" in some slavic languages so I suppose "samochodowa" means autorouting. Please could someone of you who is speaking polish have a look at it?
After that the installer is downloading the necessary files - you can see what is going on in a dos-window - installs the map, installs several bat-files in the map-folder for choosing the typ-file you want to use, eg. skorka-normal.bat and installs an Update UMP-pcPL-icon on the desktop.
Done. And if you want to update the map after some time run Update UMP-pcPL and only these map tiles are downloaded and installed which have been changed since your latest update.
The map itself is an one-in-all map especially for the use of travellers, any kind of traveller. Autorouting, information about waterways and even the runways of some airports are displayed. And all that not only for Poland but for all Europe almost, very comprehensive information for in and close to Poland, getting lesser the further away from Poland you are, but eg. the Tower of London is displayed. And it is useful information: eg. airport Berlin Tegel: CNE says "Berlin-Tegel Terminal a 0-15", UMP shows WERE any single terminal is. But it does not show where Terminal B is...
Again: a very very interesting map!
