I have an Oregon 700 that only boots to the initial screen.
Issue seems worse with charged NiCAD batteries.
I have removed the SD card, issue still present.
I've removed all GPX and the SQL directory.
This sometimes works until after the next power cycle.
I've upgraded to the latest firmware 6.00, issue still present.
Downgraded to 5.90, issue still present.
I've attempted the RGN forced reload of firmware from GPSRchive website tutorial ( great resource.)
This always fails with an a display of LOADER on the GPS and an IOU_UTILITIES.CPP-203-2.7 error.
Just before this error the UPDATER changes the devie ID form 0 to the unit serial id.
I've tried with both garmin and non-garmin usb cables.
Any help appreciated.
