Putting an Astro 220 into Mass Storage Mode
An Astro 220 can be put into Mass Storage Mode* to allow the files stored on a memory card within the device to be read by a computer. Utilizing this feature allows mapping from preloaded memory cards or downloadable content to be viewed within BaseCamp.
To put the Astro 220 into Mass Storage Mode:
Connect the device to the computer using a USB cable
Go to the Main Menu
Select Advanced
Select Settings
Select System
Press Menu
Select Mass Storage Mode
Your device will now create a drive on your computer so you can access the data on your microSD card. To return to the standard mode while the device is in Mass Storage Mode, press the Power button.
*While in Mass Storage Mode, BaseCamp will not be able access to user data (waypoints, routes, and tracks) stored on the internal memory of the unit.
So if you want to access the memory use Basecamp
