Help to speed up or reformat nuvi 1350

Hello. My nuvi 1350 works right now, but I've noticed that it runs much slower than when I got it brand new. The keyboard seems to be slightly corrupt, since the version number shows at "Unknown" instead of 6.30, and when typing in a point of intrest, there's a 3 second delay between each keypress. Is it possibe to completely reformat my unit, or otherwise speed it up? Thanks.

First thing to try is a hard-reset or even better to clear NV (aka nonvol or non-volatile memory): [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. Note: Back up your favorites first if you want to restore them later as they'll be deleted with either method.

Showing 'unknown' for keyboard version in Software Versions isn't necessarily remarkable. In case you need replacement keyboard files i've attached the folder from a US/EU 1390. I haven't checked the versions. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
