Default Replacing a NUVI 255W with a Drive 61 LM USA

We are preparing for a European trip next year.
It will be a Spain/Portugal road trip.

I want to be able to add a CN Europe map set to the GPS for the trip, going back to the USA maps on our return home.

Assuming the new GPS will work similar to the NUVI, I will probably need to erase the U.S. maps and install the European maps for the trip.

I assume I need to install the NTU rather than the NT maps?

Can both map sets be installed on the Drive 61 LM US at once, or will one need to be erased to install the other?

Any other caveats for an old NUVI user concerning the Drive 61 LM US?

I think they would have to be erased, but if you can use a SD card then you could load a map on that and just switch them from 1 to the other.

    @ solo_voyager,

You do not need to remove anything.

    Add the Spain/Portugal map

    See below:

All you have to do is turn off what map you do not need at the time.

When you get back to the states turn off the Europe map.

Plus this unit is protected so buy the extra map no need to crack your unit and void the warrant.

You can even chance the name of the map and put it on your SD Card too.
