Reply With QuoteReading the card in my computers (PC & Mac) had added some files to the card and this caused the problem. Once they were deleted it worked fine.
One of the few solutions I've ever found at the Garmin website/forums.....

GPSMap76CSx needs battery pulled before it will restart
I just bought a lightly used 76CSx and it is acting strange.
With no SD card inserted, it will function normally.
If I put in a Bluechart SD card, it will power up and function normally, but when I power it down using the power button I get a blank screen and a continuous tone from the speaker.
