help gpsmap 276cx not loading neither detected by computer

when powering the gpsmap 276cx, garmin logo show on then as soon as copyright screen comes up . the screen goes black . buttons are working can hear them when pressing. but no thing on the screen .
it was working fine until I transferred a custom map on internal memory, it bricked.
now it can not be detected by the computer. any ideas to cure that or anyway to get that detected on the computer so I can delete the custom map.

Isn't it a Mass Storage device? If so you can use Cure3 to get PC access.

As it has a non-touch display it would maybe enter preboot by holding a button or maybe a couple of buttons together while powering on. Just experiment, it might be 'Page' or 'Menu' for example, in many outdoor devices it's 'Up'.

Some devices you simply hold the power button down and connect to PC.

If you trying update firmware via Com1 ?

    So:
When the unit is turned off, keep the POWER and PAGE, ENTER, DOWN keys pressed to turn on the unit. Also keep the last three keys pressed when re-flashing the firmware with a good copy.

    It's a 276Cx so there's no COM1/2 serial port.
