If it's weak protection he can use Gimgunlock+mapsigpatch, otherwise patcher is the solution.

I could not find in the OP information whether the map was locked or unlocked. The map could be legally purchased and locked to either the SD card or the device. Therefore I thought I'd ask.

It is my interpretation that the eTrex Touch 25 has weak protection, as for instance also in GPSmap 64. This means unlocked NT map will be (or should be...) recognized. Unlocked NTU map will not be recognized. Another reason I asked about the map being locked or unlocked.

gimgunlock+mapsigpatch would be of no use to you since it is an NTU map that you want to use on an eTrex Touch 25.
