Hi, I purchased a Garmin echomap50S Plotter and got a G2 Bluechart vision sd card thats in homeport format,cani change this so that my 50s can read the info on the card. As a newbie to this format, can anyone give me a simple step by step method of unlocking the homeport G2 Vision chart. Please treat me as a beginner i need the help....

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ] is not available as a PC Install version, so you should have an original image on the SD:

Check first that it is in fact an image file chart. If it is it's probably in a folder Garmin named gmapsupp.img. Perhaps it's locked to another unit in which case it can be unlocked with [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].Code:Please Login or Register to see the links
If it's not an img file then it may have been reverse-engineered from an img file to make an installable map for use on the PC. Post again with details of what's on the card exactly if need be. [I guess you've bought it off ebay maybe].
