    Default Nuvi 1410 "select a locale" problem

    Folks I'm sure this has come up many times but on start up after entering the password the "select a Locale" screen comes up displaying United Kingdom against a white or black background.
    However the yes/no and right/left arrow buttons are not visible. I can press the touch screen in the appropriate places for the arrow buttons and successfully change the country selection but there is no response when pressing the screen where the yes and no buttons should be.
    I have erased and re-installed data several times without success.
    Does anyone have a fix?

    ps we are going to Spain next Tuesday and had hoped to take it with us.

    I have erased and re-installed data several times without success.
    I think you hard resetted it , have you tried kunix's cure, format and reinstall original sw and copy again all the files?
