CNNA2014.10 JCV "Unlock" file ?

I have seen a larger JCV file that some units get with the 2014.10 map D/L, JCV File D319090A.JCV (453,916), but I also see in the JCV folder an UNL file.

I have never seen an Unlock file for a JCV.

Can it be "unlocked" with gimunlock or does is there another method to use ?

I have a 3490 and was not given this Larger JCV file in the normal Garmin D/L with the 2014.10 map, but may want to use it.

So.... how am I able to utilize it on my 3490 if it's "locked" ?

Doubt it is locked. Even garmin publishes links from where customers can download freely the different versions.

I guess the only way to really find out if it is "locked" or not is to try it without the Unlock file.

No time do try right now, but I'll try it in the near future.

There is a discussion about this in latest CNNAM thread, all the tests confirmed JCV (big file or others) work without .unl file.
