My old Streetpilot III hasn't been supported map-wise by Garmin for about 5 years. I still use the device (as a loaner) when someone needs to meet me somewhere, knowing that I generally drive quickly and often they can't keep up.

The darned thing cost about $1300 when I bought it (plus map updates) and in many ways (in particular the display contrast and overall configurability) is better than modern/new units.

However it doesn't support NT maps and I was wondering if there are current 'non-NT' maps with POIs (Canada/US) that can be used with this older navigator, or whether there is an app that would convert NT maps to non-NT?
